If you saw a heat wave, would you wave back?

Probably not, right? More like, run for the AC.

Well, after a long hiatus, I'm back! Only this time I'd like to try something a bit different. Instead of blog posts, each week I'll be sending out 3 tips related to fitness, health, or general wellness. Sound good? Good. So, in light of this June heat wave we've got going on, here's 3 tips on how to stay cool, whether you'r working out or just working in these high temps:

1. This one may seem super obvious but STAY HYDRATED!! Drink BEFORE you feel thirsty. Make sure you have lots of water on hand, depending you'll be out in the heat. And don't forget to replenish those electrolytes! For a healthier alternative to Gatorade, try some coconut water or even a good old fashioned banana.

2. If you're exercising, change your schedule up a bit. Go for your run or walk before the sun comes up or after it goes down. And if you can't help but be out in the day, SEEK SHADE! That sun makes hot feel hotter, so head for the trees or even the shade from tall buildings.

3. Grab one of these cooling bandanas to stay cool for hours. Just get wet to activate and wear around your head or neck. How cool is that? And when it's dried out, just wet down again!

There ya go-3 tips from 360. Til next time...stay cool!
